Dr. Thompson is originally from San Antonio, Texas and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree at Trinity University. After completing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee to attend the Southern College of Optometry. Prior to graduation, Dr. Thompson was awarded the Ocular Instruments Award for Excellence in the Study of Ocular Disease.
After graduating from optometry school in 2016, Dr. Thompson accepted a Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Army. She served as an officer with the 86th Combat Support Hospital, providing eye health care to Soldiers at Fort Campbell and to civilian patients while on humanitarian missions. After completing three years of service at Fort Campbell, Dr. Thompson moved to Spring Hill with her husband.
Dr. Thompson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Thompson joined Mallard Eye Care in the fall of 2019 and will be seeing patients at all locations. Dr. Thompson will be accepting patients of all ages, including children and babies over the age of 6 months.
